Louise the mini pony arrived at Big Ears in April 2014 after her human mother passed away and Louise and her friends needed to find somewhere to live where they could all be together. Louise required some intensive hoof trimming and care when she first arrived due to her human being ill for such a long time and unable to care for her animals.

Juliet the goat has lived at Big Ears for many years after her human family divorced and could no longer keep her. Juliet is a bit of an escape artist and does enjoy taking her best friend Opie on adventures together. Juliet is a lovely girl and she has a jaw defect which see’s her bottom jaw poke out further than her top. This doesn’t stop her from eating and enjoying all types of treats.
Obie is one of 7 bunnies we took in from one family after they made the decision to rehome the rabbits as they needed to leave the state to work.
Jemima was also found dumped and living in some blackberries for protection. She had no doubt outgrown her usefulness after stopping laying as regularly as she has gotten older. Jemima was welcomed at Big Ears as she is seen for the beautiful little girl she is, not whether she is ‘useful’ or not.
