Lucky Dude RIP

Lucky Dude arrived in 2016 after being rescued from a park. He had been dumped in the park with seven other roosters who were killed by dogs. Lucky dude had been attacked but survived his injuries.

Crozza RIP

Crozza the rooster came to the Sanctuary late 2015 after being rescued off the side of the road. He had been dumped and left to fend for himself.

Sven

Sven the rooster was found after he was ‘dumped’ on the side of the road. A kind person rescued him and he now lives at the Sanctuary.

Sam Simon RIP

On the 12th October 2015, Sam Simon, possibly our largest rescued rooster, found a place to call his own. Sam Simon arrived at Big Ears after being dumped on the road side. Despite being a large bird, he was scared and very timid. He has since grown into a self assured bird and uses his size to help break up fights between other roosters. This behaviour and the fact that he is a large white rooster has earned him the nickname UN – United Nations.

Excalibur (RIP)

This is Excalibur, one of many unwanted roosters that end up at Big Ears after being dumped and found by a kind person who rehomed him to Big Ears.
